- Robert BallaghRobert Ballagh was born in Dublin, 1943. He studied architecture and worked as an engineering draughtsman, a musician and a postman before taking up painting in 1967. His paintings are held in many important collections including The National Gallery of Ireland, the Ulster Museum, the Hugh Lane Municipal and the The Albreacht Durer House, Nuremberg. His theatrical designs include Riverdance, Steven Berkoffs production of Oscar Wildes Salome, and Becketts Endgame for the Gate Theatre, also he designed the setting for the opening ceremony for the Special Olympics in Dublin 2003.
